Tickets for the 2008 Jammys will go on sale this Thursday, March 20 at noon. As in years past, the event will pair a number of acts from the jam-scene with musicians from a number of different genres and generations. The 7th annual awards ceremony will take place at New York's Theater at Madison Square Garden on May 7 and Phish is scheduled to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award (prior recipients have included B.B. King, The Meters, The Grateful Dead, Buddy Guy, Steve Winwood and Frank Zappa). The event will be hosted by Warren Haynes and Grace Potter. Tickets will be available at www.jammys.com and also at the Madison Square Garden box office beginning at noon tomorrow.
Information about the event's hosts and performers will be announced in the coming days.
